The app itself is extremely easy to use, provides many simple ways to find the book I'm looking for, both in my library and the store, and makes reading (or listening in the case of audiobooks) a pleasure. Oh, and it's super easy to import books from other formats BTW.

Those notifications with recommended reads are just annoying and irritating. This is just another way of a pushy sales channel. Stop bothering is users. Also the whole home screen which puts the bookstore high up on the screen is also disrespectful to users. If I want to buy a new book, then I know where to get one. I don't give a s.t about any bookstores when I'm not in a shopping mode.

Recently it stopped saving my pages, and since yesterday the app no longer opens at all. Deleted, redownloaded etc and no fix. Pretty irritated. Have been reading similar reviews. Can't finish my book tonight, pretty bummed out. Would also like to add that the same generic responses on all comments similar to mine, from Kobo's 'support' team, are disappointing at best. Everyone is having the same issue of pages not saving, and the app not opening.
Some sort of insight to when this will be fixed would be nice, rather than force us to go around in circles trying to fix a problem that isn't on our end. Great bookstore, I always find what I want and can get it from my home in Singapore. The e-reader has much improved over the years but remains oblivious to the needs of anyone wanting to make use of their annotations outside of the book. For example, if you want to make a highlight that straddles a page break, you can't. You have to make one on the first page, and start another one on the top of the second page. And, most annoyingly, you can't 'share' (via email) all of your annotations in one go but must share them one by one and only a single line of your note (not the entire note)! After finishing a book, I want to send myself all of the notes I took about it in a single email, not dozens.
KoboSupport confirmed that it is not possible. Please fix that (see MoonReader as a perfect example of what an e-reader should be). I worked out, man, boy, pro or otherwise I'm not far off 35,000 hours playing time and after all those years as a 24/7 musician I have a right for my opinion to be heard,well, read at least (I hope you've all noticed my tongue firmly in my cheek ) and I say this app is a good little laugh, of course it doesn't sound too good, that's where YOU come in, improvise! Play what you know then create. Don't be yet another duh. Don't Ape, Create!
